Privacy Policy

How Alpha Tiger Logistics Pvt Ltd collects, uses, transfers, and protects personal data. Written to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and standard cross-border logistics practice.

1. Who we are

Alpha Tiger Logistics Pvt Ltd ("Alpha Tiger", "we", "us") is a freight brokerage and 3PL company registered in India. We act as the Data Fiduciary for personal data processed through this website and our operations platform. Our registered address is Chandigarh, India.

2. Data we collect

  • Lead data: name, company, role, email, phone, and message content submitted via quote, contact, carrier, newsletter, lead-magnet, and careers forms.
  • Shipment data: origin, destination, commodity, weight, dimensions, equipment, references, BOL, and any other data needed to quote and execute freight.
  • Carrier data: MC / DOT, insurance certificates, fleet details, contact information, and lane preferences.
  • Applicant data: for /company/careers, your name, contact info, LinkedIn URL, cover letter, and résumé (PDF / DOC / DOCX).
  • Account data: for staff logins, email address and role assignments.
  • Technical data: IP address, user agent, referrer, pages viewed, and product analytics events.
  • Cookies: strictly necessary cookies for session and CSRF, plus first-party analytics cookies. We do not run third-party ad trackers by default.

3. Why we process it (purposes & lawful basis)

  • Quote, book, and operate shipments - performance of contract / legitimate business interest.
  • Communicate about service, billing, exceptions, and account updates - performance of contract.
  • Vet carriers against FMCSA, insurance, and compliance records - legitimate interest in safe carriage.
  • Evaluate job applicants - steps prior to entering an employment contract; consent.
  • Send the Tiger Brief newsletter and lead-magnet downloads - consent; you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Improve our website and product - legitimate interest, using aggregated analytics.
  • Comply with legal obligations - tax, accounting, customs, KYC, and regulatory requests.

4. Retention

  • Lead form submissions: up to 24 months from last contact, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Shipment and billing records: 8 years, to meet Indian accounting and tax obligations.
  • Carrier vetting files: for the duration of the relationship plus 3 years.
  • Job applications and résumés: 12 months from receipt, unless you ask us to keep them on file longer.
  • Server logs: 90 days.

5. Cross-border transfers

Because we coordinate freight across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, your data may be transferred to and processed by:

  • Asset-based carriers, drayage providers, and customs brokers operating in those jurisdictions.
  • Cloud sub-processors (hosting, database, email, analytics) located in the United States and the European Union, under standard contractual safeguards.

We share only the data necessary to execute the service or operate the platform. We do not sell personal data.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access control, audited logins for staff, and least-privilege database policies. No system is fully immune; we will notify affected Data Principals and the Data Protection Board of India in the event of a reportable personal data breach in line with applicable law.

7. Your rights as a Data Principal

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access a summary of your personal data, request correction or erasure, withdraw consent, nominate a person to exercise rights on your behalf, and raise a grievance. We will respond within the timelines set out by applicable law.

8. Children

Our services are intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
